Solar farming makes traditional farming more environmentally friendly and, in some areas, more economical.

The water and building heating requirements of large dairy and livestock farms are substantial. High levels of energy are required to heat the buildings. Many of the animals are raised inside buildings that require controlled temperatures and air quality for the animals' health. Toxic gases, odors, dust, moisture and other contaminants must be removed to control the air quality.
